good work ethic

attitude: some people can think like this (see more)

At work, it is good to be like this:

It is very good if I want to do things very well. It is very good if I do many things very well. It is very good if I do things well at all times.

It is very good if I am at this place (the workplace) some time before other people.

If someone says to me “It can be good if you do this” it is good if I say “I can do it”.

It is good if I do many things with other people (i.e. collaboration). It is good if I say many (good) things to other people (i.e. good communication).

It is very good if I want good things to happen in this place. It is very good if I don’t want bad things to happen in this place.

Note

A 'good work ethic' is often a requirement of job advertisements. The fact that each line is 'very good' rather than just 'good' reflects that the attitude is not compulsory, it is possible to get by without a good work ethic, as long as one doesn't have a bad work ethic.

"Demonstrate in which ways you have a good work ethic and how you work well with difficult people."

"At this company, we pride ourselves on an outstanding work ethic."

"They have a really good work ethic, they're young and enthusiastic, they're vibrant and keen to build great teamsmanship with the aim of becoming a great team."
