meeting up with someone whom you haven’t seen for a while

norm: when it is like this, it is good to do some things (see more)

In Australia, it can be like this:

I know someone well, I haven’t been with this person for some time, I see this person now.

When it is like this, it will be good if I say something like this to this person “I see you now, I feel something good because of this, I haven’t seen you for some time, I want to know some things about you: I want to know what you did during this time, I want to know what happened to you during this time.”

"Oh my goodness! Hello, how are you?! I haven't seen you in ages! What's been happening, what have you been doing?"

"It's so good to see you. It's been too long. How are you? How are the family?"
