self-driven learning

attitude: some people can think like this about something (see more)

Teachers in Australia want all students to think like this:

I want to know many things. I know that I can know many things if I do many things. Other people can’t do these things for me. Because of this, I will do many things at many times.

I will do many things in class. I will do many things not in class.

I will do many things as the teacher wants.

I will read many things. I will think about these.

I will listen to what other people say. I will think about what other people say.

I will think about what I want to say to other people. After this, I will say many things to other people.

If I don’t do these things, I can’t know many things.

Note

This entry is from the perspective of the teacher as this acknowledges the teachers' desire, without commenting on the intentions of the students.

"Students should take responsibility for completing their own homework. Teachers should not be reminiding them every day to finish it."

"It is important for students to prepare for classes in their own time so that they can get the most out of the class time."
