Someone (e.g. Eleanor) said something to someone else (e.g. Poppy) at that time. Eleanor wanted something to happen because of it.

Eleanor said something like this “I want you to do something. It will be good if you do it. Maybe after this you will do it. I don’t know. I want to know.”

Eleanor said it like someone can say something like this to someone else when they think like this “Maybe after I say this, this person will do it because of this, I don’t know.”
