talking to someone when you feel bad

attitude: some people can think like this (see more)

In Australia, it can be like this:

Something bad happened to me some time before. Because of this, I feel something very bad.

When it is like this, it is good if I think like this: It is good if I say “I feel something very bad” to someone. I know I can say things like this to a friend (someone who feels something good towards me). I know this person will not think something bad about me. I know I can feel something good because of this. I want to say something now.

After this, it is good if I say something like this to a friend “I feel something very bad.”

Note

Particularly for women, this entry illustrates that talking to your friends is an acceptable outlet for your negative emotions.

"Elenor just got fired from her job and she is very upset. So she calls her friend Whitney to meet for coffee and talk about it."

"Jack's wife just left him, he is very sad. He invites his mate Alan over for dinner and video games, so they can talk."
