tough attitude

attitude: some people can think like this about something (see more)

When something bad happens to someone (e.g. Kelly), it is not good if Kelly thinks like this: I feel something bad now, I can’t do anything.

It is good if Kelly thinks like this: I don’t want to feel something bad now, I want to do something now because of this.

It is good if Kelly does something because of this.

"Connor broke his ankle and can't walk. Because of this, he feels bad. Connor doesn't want to think like this: 'I can't do anything.' Connor thinks: 'I can feel good if I see my friends. I can't walk, but I can ask them to visit me at home.' Because of this, he sends a message to some friends to come over for pizza."

"There'd been way too many long, lonely days with too much work. No point whingeing and moaning. She put the truck into gear and eased her way over the loose rough ground. Home, a hot shower, and pizza. Definitely a good plan. "
