The Australian Dictionary of Invisible Culture for Teachers
goddamn
adjective: a kind of something (see more)
I feel something very bad towards someone/something (e.g. the car). Because of this, when I say this, I want to say something like this at the same time “I want something very bad to happen to this person/something.”
Because of this, I want to say this word at the same time ‘goddamn’.
I think about this word like this: Many people can feel something bad when they hear this word. Many people think it is bad if someone says this word. I don’t think the same. I want to say this word.
"The goddamn rabbits ate my goddamn roses again!"
"Roy and his goddamn science experiments! I just stepped in some kind of slime..."
