miss
verb: someone does something (see more)
Someone (e.g. Annie) thinks something like this:
I did something (e.g. rock climbing) before now. When I did rock climbing, I felt something good. I cannot do rock climbing now. I want to do it now.
Because of this, Annie feels something bad.
"I really miss going to the beach. We used to go every weekend when I was a teenager, but now I haven't been for years."
"It's funny how you sometimes don't realise that you miss something until you have the chance to do it again. I played my flute on the weekend, and I realised how much I miss playing music."
