The Australian Dictionary of Invisible Culture for Teachers
violence
noun: something (see more)
People in Australia know it can be like this:
Something happens in a place for some time because some people (e.g. gangs) do some bad things to some other people (e.g. families) in this place at that time.
These people (gangs) do these things at that time because they feel something very bad at that time. They can know that something very bad can happen to these other people’s (families’) bodies because of this.
It is very bad when it is like this.
"Violence in Australia is at an all-time low."
"Many TV shows today portray a lot of violence."
