The Australian Dictionary of Invisible Culture for Teachers
bugger
noun: a person of one kind (see more)
A kind of person.
I know: something bad happened (to this person). I don’t want to say ‘very bad’.
Because of this, I think: This person wants to do some things. This person can’t do things like other people.
Because of this, I feel something bad.
I want to say something about this man. I want to say how I feel.
Some people think some words are bad words. I want to say a word like this now.
"See that poor bugger next to the bakery? I think I'll buy him a pie."
"Stevie is home sick from school today, she has a cold, poor little bugger."
"Corey's wife left him yesterday, the poor bugger. I'm surprised he's in at work today."
