telling someone when you are not on time

attitude: some people can think like this (see more)

If I say I will be in a place when someone else wants, it is good if I think like this: This person wants me to be in this place at this time. It is good if I can be in this place at this time.

If I can’t be in this place at this time, it is good if I say something like this to this person “I can’t be in this place at the time you want. I will be in this place at this other time, not a very long time after the time you want. I feel something bad because of this.”

"If Luke is late to work, it is good if he calls his boss to say 'I am running 5 minutes late. I will be there soon.'"

"When Ashleigh's meeting runs late, it is good if she can email her next appointment to say 'I will meet you at 3:30 instead of 3:00.'"
